1st Class
Our 1st Class Program is comprised of 8 courses; one for each national (SOPEEC) 1st Class examination. Our standard courses are email based, home study courses with tutorial support.
Our courses include:
- Weekly study guides to focus your learning & test your knowledge
- Tutorial support throughout the entire course, seven days per week
- Supplementary learning material as required
Our study guides bring structure to your studies; providing you with clear direction as to what to study & what is less important.
Using the books and our materials, you can focus your studies, undertake assignments and calculations, and receive help as necessary.
You can be certain that you have gained the knowledge needed to pass the exam.
Candidates for the 1st Class often have difficulty jumping directly into courses that require calculation if they obtained their earlier qualification under the former Ontario system, have not studied for sometime, or are weak in the applied sciences (Mathematics, Mechanics,Thermodynamics, and Electrical). If this applies, a candidate may wish to consider taking our Applied Sciences for Power Engineers preparatory course.
START DATES
All 1st Class courses are offered on the first Monday of every month.
Special, non-scheduled, courses, which provide you with flexibility as to start date and duration, may be available on request. An additional administrative fee of $100-150 plus taxes is payable.
